UMBC Team Places Second in DARPA Shredder Challenge

A two-person team including Dr. Don Engel, UMBC Assistant Vice President for Research, placed second out of more than 9,000 teams in DARPA's Shredder Challenge, a competition to develop software which can reconstruct shredded documents.
