Maybe you've been thinking about an academic career, but you are wondering what the process is like and what you should do. We’ll discuss answers to several important questions, including:
- How are faculty jobs at research institutions (R1, R2, R3) different from regional comprehensive institutions? From liberal arts colleges? From community colleges?
- What do these institutions look for in candidates and how do you begin to build your portfolio and CV towards these positions while in graduate school?
- What are some key UMBC resources that can help you if you are pursuing an academic career?
